The plates are all in very good condition, no cracks, no gaps or shards. They have been used, and have some traces of use, very slight scratches in the bottom due to the friction of the cutlery, but which are barely visible, except to really look at them in the light by tilting them. The enamel is very bright. They come from the earthenware factories of digoin and sarreguemines located in the east of france, in moselle, on the border with germany, and which were created at the end of the 18th century, during the revolution, in this region of a small tradition. With a unique traditional know-how, the earthenware factories of digoin and sarreguemines have produced abundantly, and supplied many french families with quality household ceramics. The pattern, with its blue rose and button, was made by hand by specialized workers, on the plates one by one, using a stencil, which explains that there are small differences in color and intensity for each plate. The pattern is two-tone, blue and grey, so it required several passages. The shape of the plates, with the marli with cut-outs is typical of the 40s, period of transition between the art deco style and the 50s. The email is very thin, and has aged well. The plates are all marked on the reverse of the black ink brand of earthenware, and bear the number 13. They're flat.
