Metal tray

This is an emblematic piece of the former ussr. Indeed, this type of black enameled sheet metal tray decorated with floral motifs was hand painted by the zostovo art factory (жостово) when russia was the ussr during the 20th century (signature on the back of the piece). The craftsmen of this soviet factory created patterns in the french napoleon III style. Note that the border surrounding the tray is in 22 carat gold. Thanks to the hot lacquer technique, this tray can be washed: it can therefore be used as a simple decorative element or used as a real serving tray... Great for a romantic snack or to decorate a country table chic for example. This tray, which probably dates from the 70s, is in very good general condition (just a few superficial scratches on the underside of the tray).
