Public sales alain le yaouanc, born may 18, 1940 in alençon, is a painter, designer, sculptor, poet, writer, collage artist, illustrator, theater set painter. Linked to surrealism through his collages, his object poems and his writings and through its application to architecture. Le yaouanc first stayed in the united states in 1956, at the harmon hall school in york harbor, maine: it was at this time that he produced his first drawings and paintings. In 1957, first exhibitions: at new britain (side walk art show), at the mattatuck museum in waterbury, connecticut, and at the galerie prigent in rouen, in november of the same year.
