Buffet in rosewood, mahogany and galuchat of Art Deco period

Rosewood sideboard varnished with a stamp, with raised top, opening through four doors, the two centrals lined with havana galuchat. Galuchat is a cartilaginous fish leather used in cabinetmaking, sheathing, and more recently in leather goods. Halfway between leather and mineral, the galuchat is covered with silica beads. It has different aspects: grainy and shiny, or sanded. Our sideboard discovers an interior with shelves and drawers mounted in mahogany. It rests on four saber feet whose front feet are finished by silver metal hooves. In very good condition.
