Glass glass in excellent condition. —- The inventor of the herbarium would be luca ghini (1500-1556), italian botanist and professor of botany in bologna. His herbarium of 300 plants has not been preserved. One of the oldest is probably that of felix platter (1536-1614), a doctor in basel. John falconer was probably the first briton to use the method of drying plants to make seagrass beds developed by luca ghini. At the muséum national d'histoire naturelle in paris is kept a herbarium dating from 1558, a small bound volume containing 313 plants collected by jehan girault, "for the time being a surgical student" in lyon. —- Fast and neat shipping.
