Description
Coffee and breakfast set from the 1970s, produced by the english lancaster vitramic hornsea plant. The contrast service was designed in 1974 by martin hunt. It is a set that includes: a cup, a saucer and a dessert plate. The set is in good condition with normal signs of use. Each element of the set is signed on the bottom. Set in brown pottery partially enameled with white glaze. Three kits are available. Dimensions: Height 7.5cm|plate diameter 20 cm. Dimensions in inches: Height 3 in.|platter diameter 7.9 in. The contrast hornsea servants were produced from the 1970s to the 1990s and are one of hornsea's more eye-catching designs and has become a very popular, even iconic, ceramic suit. It is now part of the tableware collection at the victoria and albert museum in london and is still popular with collectors today.
