Original antique in paper over linen school scientific chart of the human body

A major element in vintage decoration are the maps and posters, whether scientific posters, geographic maps, botany or zoology charts, being original, they are always differentiating pieces. In that sense this poster/graphic is a good example of my concept, because it is a scientific poster of the human body properly subtitled. This poster is of portuguese origin, published in 1937 by livraria simões lopes, porto. It represents the torso of the human body, with all the organs and parts of the body subtitled, as can be seen at the bottom of the map. It is written in portuguese, the language of origin. It is a school poster in its original state. It is in very thick and strong paper, covered on the back with a fabric that looks more like linen, on the front it is protected by a very satin film, perhaps a paper varnish. At the horizontal ends it has applied wooden beams that allow it to be upright and the top beam has the string to be hung. In fact, these wooden beams allow the poster to be hung and unrolled easily. These wooden beams are crafted and lacquered. The poster has a border on the vertical sides to reinforce the paper and fabric, which on the left side of the captions overlaps the letter "n" for number. Despite being an old piece and certainly with a lot of use, this map is in good vintage condition. However we can see in the photographs that the paper is very yellowed and darkened from the weather as well as the fabric on the back, which is very darkened and with large stains, with many darker spots that look like moisture. It is also noticeable the folds and creases in the paper from being rolled up and even some flaws in the paper that is with tears (see detail photos), mainly in the upper part of the poster. The wood of the beams also have the marks of time, with scratches, flaws and stains on the lacquer and on the back we can see signs of pest attack that have been treated. This original poster carries with it all the marks of time and use.
