Former earthenware ashtray speaking (Clamecy 30 years)

Signed Roger Colas (happened to earthenware of Clamecy in 1922) this ashtray offers an interesting motto: "only the human stupidity can give an idea of the infinite", attributed to Renan, Brittany philosopher of the 19th (century). According to the 'Dialogues and philosophical Fragments' 1876 the sentence would be actually less concise ("human stupidity is the only thing that gives an idea of the infinite") and it must be recognized that the 'thing' word to describe the stupidity was perhaps not appropriate .
