Description
Korean popular painting, called minhwa, imported in the 1970s, representing a tiger under a pine tree. The tiger is closely associated with Korean culture. It appears in folklore and mythology. The pine is one of the ten symbols of longevity. Made in ink and colors on mulberry paper, traditionally used for calligraphy. Quality frame with golden beige floral brocade mat. Black lacquered wooden frame with some slight defects, the fixing which is oxidized, is in cut brass. Note in the top right corner, partial shade of the color of the paper. Height with fixing 137 cm.
