Description
Very beautiful vintage oyster service in black and blue seafoam enamels including: 6 plates of 6 oysters. 1 presentation dish of 18 oysters. Each room has a central location for the lemon. Origin: cyclops enamels - glacier enamels. In 1948 Charles Cart, ceramist, founded the Cyclops pottery, specializing in enamel work. In 1961, he registered the Annecy pottery brand which in 1963 became: the cyclops - glacier enamels - snow enamels. In a superb electric blue color, the glaze is both eruptive and hollowed like craters. Black enamel has metallic effects. This enamel work is astonishing in its detail and beauty, and very difficult to accurately depict in photos. Plate diameter: 24 cm. Flat diameter: 41.5 cm. Very good state ! Around 1950-1960. Note: a small email jump on a plate. The photos complete this description, be sure to view them carefully.
