Description
Period: ca. 1950s-60s. This vase, with its square base and stylized floral motifs in relief, is inspired by the art nouveau style, although less ornate. It has an elegant tapered shape. The surface is polished to resemble silver. This is a quality item and is made by potstainiers hutois as evidenced by the marking and label. The 'gf' and for gaston falais, one of the founders of the group of "potstainiers hutois" founded in 1949. The pewter items made in huy, a city in liège in belgium, were famous for their high-quality pewter items (94% lead-free tin) made in an old style and by an artisanal production process. Status: good. Very little oxidation. Dimensions: 22.5 cm high, base 8.5 cm wide.
