Description
Kuduo in the shape of a stylized millet hut or attic. Dotted decoration and symbolic geometric patterns. The kuduo, like this one, had the function of preserving precious objects, pearls or gold powder. Their main role is cult, associated with the purification of the soul of their owner who received offerings for this purpose. It is usually placed on the domestic altar next to one of the seats of the ancestors. Copper or brass, very beautiful old patina. Ashanti, ghana, 19th century. Dimensions: 18 X 14 cm.
