This subject is in plaster, it is probably a realization of a workshop of the louvre museum. It is beautifully crafted with a quality base. Marcus annius verus caesar, born 162 ad and died 10 september 169, was the twelfth of fourteen children of roman emperor marcus aurelius and empress faustina the younger. Annius was appointed caesar on 12 october 166 with his brother commodus, designating them both as heirs to the roman empire. Annius died on september 10, 169, aged seven, from complications after surgery to remove a tumor under his ear. His death left commodus as sole heir to the empire. For the condition, note classic wear of time, a rough nose, gaps in several places, everything remains in good general condition. Our many photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. For the condition, thank you for detailing the photos. H6508. Feel free to zoom in. Photos are an integral part of the description. Size: Total height: 35 cm. Base: 11 X 11 cm.
