Description
As rare as it is elegant, here is a superb lounge chair by italian designer luigi saccardo published by arrmet in 1970. Luigi saccardo is an italian designer who produced in the 70s, mainly for the armett publishing house and the jansen house, with his famous "ufo" table. He was able to perfectly mix metal, chrome or aluminum, with other materials such as glass, marble or leather. It is precisely this magnificent alliance between smooth leather and chrome that is at the origin of luigi saccardo's magnificent lounge chair edited by armett in the early 70s. This armchair recalls the bauhaus productions of the 1920s and 30s such as marcel breuer's wassily or b3 armchair produced in 1925 thanks to its chrome tubular structure that gives it elegance, sobriety and lightness, and its smooth taut cognac leather that creates the seat and back of the armchair. Its low seat is of unparalleled comfort for such an aesthetic seat. The armchair is in superb vintage condition. The chrome tubular structure has been cleaned and is in very good condition, no rust or pitting. The thick cognac leather is also in very good condition with its patina of time, very good quality it is still as solid! This lounge chair is a very rare piece that will adapt and embellish any interior.
