Terre de Fer tureen Jules Vieillard

In the 19th century, it was not uncommon to see tableware with decorations inspired by nature. Here we have a pretty iron earthenware tureen from the jules vieillard factory, featuring a still life made up of fish, lobsters, birds and other foliage. Sepia tint on ivory earthenware. Samaritan marking. It would be a part of the cartel service. Note: a shine under the lid, and an interior well patinated by time.
