Description
This oil on panel was made by henry emile vollet. It is in a superb state of conservation. It represents a breton woman leaning on a barrier, we can see the ocean at the bottom. There is a nice work with the sun, we can imagine that it is at sunset evening. The technique is excellent, typical of vollet, with a slight knife technique. The work was probably reframed in the 70s and 80s with a frame that goes perfectly with the canvas, but later. Henry emile vollet (henri rochonvollet, said) was born in champigny-sur-marne in 1861 and died in névez in 1945. Henry vollet is a painter of genre, landscapes, wall compositions.
