Veneta Lumi Flexible Italian Desk Lamp

This charming industrial style desk or bedside lamp was published by the Italian publishing house Veneta Lumi (“Veneta Lumi Made in Italy” under the base), probably in the 70s, perhaps before. It is made of white lacquered metal, with a fairly large lampshade and half of the flexible chrome “neck”, which makes it very practical and quite original. It is in relatively good condition for its age, solid and stable, but also has quite a few small flaws...which give it its charm and vintage patina. Stains, scratches and paint chips on the base and on the lampshade which also has some dents. The chrome flexible part is in good condition. This lamp is designed for a large base bulb (e27). The electrification has not been redone by me, but it does not seem original to me (at least for the cable and the Legrand brand switch, gold in color) but I tested it: it works. It measures approximately 45 cm high when its neck is fully unfolded, the base measures 13 cm in diameter, the cable measures approximately 130 cm long. The lampshade has a diameter of 16 cm at the opening. The whole thing weighs 710 g.
