Was one of the court's suppliers. From his factory in the cloister of saint-germain-l'auxerrois, jean-baptiste I tuart delivered numerous orders to menus-plaisirs from 1744 to 1753. He had a son, jean-baptiste II tuart, with whom he worked for a time until he decided to establish himself as a master tablemaker and merchant.
