Description
Very rare lounge fauteuil designed in the 1950s. The chair is new re-upholstered in high quality dutch “ploeg” fabric. This chair is attributed to Theo Ruth for Wagemans & Van Tuinen mid 1950’s. Wagemans & Van Tuinen later on became Artifort. Early pieces from Wagemans & van Tuinen have lack of brandmarks. From 1936 Theo Ruth became a permanent designer for Artifort up to the late 1950’s. This piece is build on a orginal and more seen Wagemans metal frame in outmost good condition, the tongue seat is most likely handmade by the designer and makes this chair extremely comfortable aswel as very unique and timeless object.
