Fischel bistro chair n°18 circa 1900

Viennese bistro chair/semi-armchair n°18 by fischel, label 1890-1910 ca. This version "halbarmchaise" is distinguished by an intermediate format between the chair and the standard large armchair; adjusted and harmonious proportions, more often at the time for the use of ladies. Other differences from the standard no. 18; a trapezoidal seat instead of circular, and the presence of small wooden capitals turned in decoration of the front feet. -- beautiful condition for this original empire black copy, some marks of experience (stigmata of an old fabric nailing) restored on the seat belt, well melted in the patina.
