Pair of large sconces with Louis XVI style knots, late 19th century - bronze

Superb pair of large Louis XVI style wall lights, from the end of the 19th century. Bronze construction. Original gilding in very good condition with a beautiful shine; some minor signs of wear. The wall part is decorated with flowers, laurels and bunches of fruit, topped with a large bow. The sconces are decorated with acanthus leaves, pearls, laurel and water leaves. The carving of the appliques was done by hand. They are electrified and tested, new wires (for e14 bulb). White opaline candles, perfect condition; note, a small repair (see penultimate photo).
