Vermeil tea kit including, twelve teaspoons, a teaserving spoon, a sugar tongs and a tea pass. All the vermeil cutlery are all hallmarked with the 2nd title neck brace (800/1000). It should be noted that the vermeil is faded in some places of the cutlery notably on the spoons. These pieces of goldsmithery were made by louis benoist working in paris between 1828 and 1858. The whole is stored in a blackened wooden case napoleon III decorated with brass marquetry and tortoiseshells. It is noted that a brass barette is not identical to the others surely following a restoration. It is also noted that at the level of this barette there is a small lack of wood veneer. The inside of the case is stained in several places, and on the upper part there are some small holes in the fabric and two tears. The case has a key and its lock is in perfect working order. This is a very beautiful set. French work from the mid-19th century. Size- Total weight: 815 grams. Weight of vermeil pieces: 259 grams. Weight of the case: 556 grams. Length of the case: 27.8 centimeters. Width of the case: 19 centimeters. Height of the case: 4.3 centimeters. Length of a spoon: 15 centimeters.
