Vintage oak trading counter

Former solid oak trading post from the 60s. This beautiful counter is very uncommon and rare for sale. Its graphic details give it a very elegant and totally contemporary look. There is a very nice work of decoration on the front side, with its large wooden chopsticks, perfectly affixed in nests, drawing a very interesting and refined pattern. The matte black paint affixed to the counter-shapes reinforces the graphic aspect of the furniture. Sliding curtains on each side are present and give access to the central storage, consisting of two long sturdy shelves. The back side of the countertop is topped by two drawers and a black painted stocking. The tray is very thick and has a nice general patina. The furniture has been completely restored by my cabinetmaker, the wood has been stripped of its old thick varnish, exposed, treated, varnished on the raw wood parts and painted in matt black then waxed. The countertop rests on 4 tapered legs in brass metal. We see that the layer of walleye is gone in places.
