Old Jugendstil style pendant lamp in milky glass

Period: ca. 1900-1940. A beautiful pendant lamp with a unique milky glass lampshade. Milky glass (less translucent than opaline) was painted with floral decoration on a linear background and garlands; the colors are mainly purples and oranges. The design has a jugendstil (german art nouveau) look as well as art deco; stylistically speaking, it can be a transitional piece. The lampshade is attached to the support by clamping screws. The brass cap has ventilation holes and it is attached to the ceiling plate with a rod. The lamp is not wired. Status: very good. The painted décor is immaculate. Some traces of oxidation on the brass support especially on the ceiling plate. On the edge of the lampshade (invisible part under the screws) a small repair was made. Not wired. Dimensions: 35 cm high, 13 cm diameter, 0.520 kg.
