Description
Inspired by jean chavanis' pirouett' model, this work lamp, known as a notary's lamp, was originally used for lighting typewriters and accounting machines, in the early twentieth century. It is a portable electric lamp with light that can be swivelled in all directions and adjustable fire height. One of its characteristics is its faceted lampshade, typically art deco shape, as well as the articulation that allows to retract its arm in the column, revolution for the time. In this case, this craft lamp is mounted on a cut barrel with a circular base and has a golden metal lampshade. This high-end french achievement for the time, seduces by its contemporary form and the history it conveys. ******** Era: 1930. Very good general condition. Some marks and traces of use.
