Description
Sculptural wall lamp by angelo brotto for esperia italy, 1960s. Wall light in brass with a front of murano glass. In a beautiful original condition. Dimensions: height 25.0 in. (63, 5 cm), width 25.0 inches (63, 5 cm) and depth 5.1 in. (13 cm). Art glass at the front: 8.0 in. X 8.0 inches (20, 5 cm X 20, 5 cm). The fixture is equipped with the original, regular (e27 26-27 mm (medium) edison screw (es). Max. 60 watt. The electricity is used but in a good condition, approved to european standards. Works in the usa. Angelo brotto (1914 - 2002), was a venetian designer and artist. He graduated from the academy of fine arts in venice in 1941. In the 1960s and 1970s, brotto became known for his special lighting designs in collaboration with the italian company esperia, he won many international prizes. The lamp is disassembled in parts for shipping but is very easy to assemble. Wall mounting guide: fix the square fixture with the lamp socket to the wall with four screws. Then make the brass cross with two small screws. Mount the square glass to the brass cross with the two large screws and hang this on the two small hooks on top of the fixture.
