Description
Very elegant chest of drawers with 3 drawers, rare in Rio rosewood, the sockets and bases are in brass. CARLO DE CARLI (1910-1971) & SORMANI (Publisher) Chest of drawers in rosewood veneer, model "DC154", circa 1963, sheathed base forming detached grooved columns, resting on cubic metal shoes with gunmetal patina rising from high cylinders, it opens on the front with three drawers fitted with truncated conical grips in metal with a gunmetal patina, overflowing top, lined with a large ogee. Historical design by Carlo De Carli for Sormani editions in 1963-1964. H. 81 cm, W. 145 cm, D. 43.5 cm Carlo De CARLI (1910 1999). Milanese architect, teacher at the Polytechnic School of Milan and Turin as well as at the University of Architecture of Venice, He is a faithful collaborator of Gio Ponti.
