Art Nouveau dining room

Very nice set of dining room in oak art nouveau period. Our set consists of a hexagonal table whose central foot is provided with a door and storage (without key) and its six chairs with seats in pale green velvet. It takes up the codes of rationalist art nouveau. From ruskin's functionalist theses was born a rationalist movement, where the decor was proscribed and the function took precedence. The minimalist, geometric and refined aesthetic is reflected in the works of the english arts and crafts movement and in the creations of the viennese secession and its "wiener werkstätte" (viennese workshops). Worn by henry van de velde, the german jugendstil gradually evolved towards this new aesthetic by moving from floral naturalism to modern rationalism precursor of the bauhaus. Table dimensions: 100x100x75 cm, height under belt: 67 cm. Dimensions chairs: 42x40xh.90 cm, seat height: 45 cm.
