"Windsor" is a cover, made by Ridgway in the 1950s, of the "Asian pheasants" motif which, with the "Blue Willow" motif, was one of the stars of English transferware in the 19th century. century. Fine English earthenware ('ironstone'). Decor in blue on white monochrome representing two pheasants in flight among lush flowers; lobed border. English manufacture from the 1960s-70s (manufacturing dates indicated in the brand stamp). In very good condition: the defects are minimal -- a very small old chip on the reverse under the edge, a roughness in the material, a slight bump on the edge (all these defects are indicated in the detail photos); no scratches from use or traces of friction, clean edges.
