Period: ca. 1940-1970 a functional and ultra decorative piece. The turquoise earthenware peacock stands on a base pierced with white peonies with purplish stems. It is most likely a chinese earthenware made as an incense dispenser and which was mounted on a gilded bronze foot. The foot is round and from it extrudes the stem which has been slightly curved to follow the body of the peacock. The large classic lampshade is made of raw silk in an off-white beige color. The socket has a type c plug (2 pin without earth) and is currently suitable for european voltage (230 volts - 50 hz). Take a light bulb with a small socket. Note: colors/shades may vary somewhat; representation depends on lighting conditions, background, screen resolution, etc. The bruises are particularly difficult condition: good. No damage. Minor oxidation marks on the foot (see photo). The decorative border on one side of the lampshade is a little frayed at the edge (see photo). Dimensions: 57 cm high, 32 cm peacock height, 33 cm lampshade diameter, 1.54 kg.
