Slug white coral

Rare: very beautiful specimen of hard skeleton of coral white said here of "limace" shape which recalls this molusc. With a weight of more than 1 kg, it measures here more than 30 cm in length, 11 cm in width and more than 8 cm in height. In very good condition it will make a beautiful effêt of marine decoration in your interior or living room. A coral scientifically refers to any species of living belonging to the order scleractinia. In a broader sense, a coral refers to many fixed marine animals with polyps all belonging to the order of anthozoa, without all anthozoa being considered as such (sea anemones etc.). Corals are usually colonies of polyps that group together to form superorganisms. Hard corals, "reef builders", have formed by accumulation of these hard skeletons coral reefs, some of which have become the largest known complex structures created by living organisms (the great barrier reefs).
