Armchair with headrest from the 1960s

Designed in 1965 by edmund homa, polish architect and designer. The project has been awarded with a silver medal at the polish national fair „autumn 1965”. Produced by gościcino furniture factory (gościcińska fabryka mebli), soon became a symbol of luxury. Original armchair with removable headrest and footstool have undergone complete restoration. After removing the old varnish, the wooden frame has been stained dark brown and covered with a few coats of semi-matte varnish. Furniture’s filling was replaced and upholstered in high quality fabric resembling the style of classical polish design of the ‘60s.
