Rosewood chest of drawers - highboard, Denmark 1950s/60s, vintage, mid-c

A very neat highboard from the danish manufacturer vemb møbelfabrik in the 1950s and 1960s. The chest of drawers is finished in rosewood veneer with beautiful grain and placed on solid rosewood legs stabilized with nicely shaped slats. Danish design is characterized by elegant, clean lines, and the charm of the chest of drawers also includes door handles made of solid rosewood, which add a sublime "flavor" to the whole. The chest of drawers has 3 sliding doors - a larger one with a nice profile along the entire length of the chest of drawers and a smaller one, behind which there is the icing on the cake - an elegant bar with a glass rear wall and drawers lined with green material. Additionally, at the bottom of the chest of drawers there are 2 spacious, pull-out drawers. The furniture is massive, solid, fully functional, very roomy, and the doors and drawers move smoothly. The profile of the chest of drawers is slightly narrowed towards the top. The highboard underwent a full renovation process, including cleaning of old coatings, replenishing the veneer and re-protecting it with several layers of hard oil-wax resistant to dirt and water. Moreover, the whole thing has minor traces of use, which do not affect the appearance and value of the furniture. Furniture in very good condition, ready to be placed in an apartment, workshop or studio.
