Marble pocket ashtray with fossil ammonite

This item is wonderful! Whether it is used as an ashtray, a pocket tray, a paperweight or simply as a decorative object in its own right, we never tire of looking at it and touching it, as its details are incredible: its multiple colors (brown, caramel, ecru, gray, white...), its veining, the sometimes sparkling inclusions and this magnificent ammonite! This is an absolutely unique item! In addition, it seems that it was cut to highlight these elements, its shape is not entirely regular to take into account its specificities. So one of the corners is more rounded on the upper side, another is more rounded on the lower side. It must be from the 60s or 70s, maybe earlier. It is in very good condition, very smooth and well polished, very clean, no ash stain or visible shine, but small marks perhaps from use but more probably original: tiny chips on the edges, very slight abrasions or scratches rather on the lower side and three cavities of the ammonite are hollowed out originally. This ashtray measures 13.5 cm by 10 cm with a thickness of 2.5 cm. Shipping by colissimo will include insurance at the price of the item.
