André Gautronneau (1920-2008) André Marius Théodore GAUTONNEAU was not promised to paint, her father was to be a vet but it's letters, sociology and political science that he turns in 1941. He began a career public servant and journalist and devoted himself entirely to his creations from 1954. He also attended the great Chauamiere with Mazo and Mac-Avoy. After beginnings figurative beginning of 50 years he spent in a mixed technique combining materials in paint and is heading towards abstraction. He lives fully 1960s and 1970 working acrylic, flat, in works where the signs are important (cross, lattice, tags...). Similarly, the figure is in the understanding of his work. His works are inspired by his many travels, his passion for ancient civilizations and its masters, Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. The human figure is distorted and the details are highlighted. This painter brings us into his imagination with a chosen and personal vocabulary.
