Legros jean (1917-1981) geometric stamping inspired by reliefs, c 1970. Geometric shape stamped on arches vellum. Signed lower right and numbered 6/30 lower left. Print run in 30 copies. Dimensions of the work: 28 X 38 cm. In very good condition. Provenance: claude bruneteau private collection. Biographical elements: jean legros is a geometric abstract painter, active during the second half of the twentieth century. In his series of reliefs from which these pieces are derived, the formal influence of the dadaist painter jen arp, whose assistant he was, is clearly visible.
