Old fir communication door with its original hardware, pushing left, eighteenth century, having never undergone the slightest repair or modification. Located on the top floor of a house, we offer it completely cleaned. Fun fact: a glass had originally been laid in two parts flat jointed! One of the two parts having unfortunately been broken (see photo), we removed this piece, and cleaned the old joint. But we deliberately left the part in good condition. We thus leave the choice to the future buyer to either completely replace the glass (74.5cm X 26.5cm) or to bring only the missing part and thus preserve this particularity! Its large glasses nearly 75cm high were extremely rare for the time. This type of door, "secondary", was much less expensive to make with a carpentry with small tiles. The carpentry assembly is classic with flat panel panels, mortise studs and dowels. Fine and elegant moldings on the façade, around the glasses and panels at the bottom. On the back, long hectic wrought iron hinges, and its clenche hardware system. Full of charm and authenticity, by its dimensions, its large glazed part and its original hardware. Painted brown on both sides. The first 2 photos (not counting the cropped photo) are the front and back of the door. Note, two small gaps at the bottom in the angles taken in photo. Dimensions: 195cm high, 82.8cm wide and 2.8cm thick. The glazed part starts at 107cm from the ground. Weight: 21.2kg.
