Smoker's set cigarette box and ashtray 50s

This beautiful set in an art deco style would make a very practical and original gift for a smoker, and even more so if he rolls his cigarettes himself. It features a beautiful little glass ashtray with many facets, which is held in place thanks to two wooden elements. To dislodge it, it is necessary to rotate the small cigarette holder piece. It also has a box, separated into two compartments, large enough to hold tubes and cigarettes or even a small reserve of tobacco. It is closed by a sliding shutter made of small wooden slats. This small box is decorated with two gold metal edges. The whole is fixed on a wooden top, lined with a felted fabric underneath. The whole, finely executed, is really very pretty with its two colors of wood. This object dates from the 50s and it is in very good condition: the shutter slides perfectly, the ashtray is intact, the metal does not have corrosion and is always well gilded. It still has some marks that testify to its age: some small scratches very discreet on the gold metal, some marks very little visible on the wood including a small crack (superficial, it does not move) on the cigarette holder, the felt underneath is a little faded, perhaps also that the varnish is a little faded on the light wood parts. The top measures 26 cm by 14 cm, for about 6 cm of maximum height. The whole weighs a little more than 500g.
