This Italian acrylic saucer pendant lamp with brass details from the 1970s is a stunning example of Italian mid-century modern design.  The light consists of a large disc shaped shade in milky white acrylic complemented by a  beautiful central brass-plated aluminum band and accents, including ceiling rose. The suspension system allows for easy adjustment of the pendant height simply by pulling the bottom brass element that extends the spiral black cord. The design, functionality and use of various materials showcase the essence of Italian style from the mid-century era. The innovative incorporation of materials such as metal, plastic and acrylic was very popular among iconic 1960s and 70s Italian designers and studios, including Harvey Guzzini, Vico Magistretti and Artemide. This amazing length-adjustable pendant is an eye-catcher, lit or unlit. Thanks to the milky-white shade, the lamp nicely diffuses light, illuminating a space while also serving as a stylish decor element. This type of chandelier was designed for use in multiples above kitchen islands or in spacious hallways or stairwells, everywhere adjustable-height light is needed. An additional feature of the chandelier is a functional switch located on top of the shade, allowing the light to be turned on and off when the cord is stretched and the lamp is placed just above the table Additional dimensions: cord length: from 50 to 168 cm diameter: 52 cm height of the shade: 30 cm
