Description
These two cups have incredible charm with their magnificent colored marbled enameling of beautiful finesse. Finesse which contrasts with the turning work which is quite simple and the very pronounced wear in certain places. These bowls have a certain age but it is difficult to determine it, perhaps from the first half of the 20th century, perhaps before, the jaspé technique, imported from japan, appearing in the 17th century in aubagne in particular. And wear is visible on all areas exposed to the nesting of the bowls, that is to say, on the upper edge and on the areas around this edge. These cups look like they've been used a lot! One of the bowls is in good structural condition, no cracks, the other has a crack and a large chip which has been glued back together. Both therefore show abrasions and wear on the fitting areas. The rest seems to me to be original marks, filming defects. They measure 13 cm in diameter with a height of 5.5 cm.
