Art Deco bar furniture very well preserved dating from the late 1920s. This tall piece of furniture has many details typical of the period of the Dutch school of Amsterdam, which was a predominant architectural influence at that time. Many of the houses here in Amsterdam were built in this style which blends very well with the older architecture. The graceful shape and details are very visible in this room. It's a bit majestic but graceful at the same time. Details such as the wooden strips on the front but also the three drops of water at the top, were made of Coromandel, a very rare dark hardwood that comes from Indonesia. Coromandel contrasts very well with ripe oak. The sideboard is still in very good condition and the top is also in good condition. Perfect for your whisky, grappa or cognac, but also to serve as a counter, DJ-booth or simply buffet. This Art Deco style blends very well with mid-century modern pieces, especially if you're looking for pieces that have a little more depth and manufacturing style, entirely by hand. The way it was made is very artisanal and all the wood, mainly oak, is solid. It also balances very well with the veneer that was used so often after the 1940s. It's a bit more serious (and quite heavy too!). The height of the tray is 100 cm and there is also a similar tray available. Size: Height: 138 cm (54.34 in) Width: 124 cm (48.82 in) Depth: 47 cm (18.51 in.)
