Art Deco knives in their box

Set of 12 table knives (not notched) with a sober design reminiscent of the art deco style. The handles are made of synthetic ceramic material (resin. Bakelite?) of an ivory color. They are presented in their original box whose coating imitates the appearance of the skin and which includes pretty silver clasps. The inside of the box has a soft-touch skin-colored paper coating, where the label of the store in poitiers where it was bought is still present, probably in the 60s or 70s. The knives are in good condition, still solid, the stainless steel blades (pad on them) are well anchored to the handles, but they show some marks of time and use: small scratches on the blades, small spots and three small chips on the handles, and surface corrosion but on a more or less important surface, on the metal part that binds the blades to the handles. The box still serves as storage but is not in good condition: a broken hinge, important and visible abrasions. The inner lining of the enclosure has stains and wear. The box measures 27 cm by 14.5 cm and 4 cm thick. The knives are 23 cm long.
