Wooden tobacco pot box

This pretty wooden box with its lid, perhaps originally a tobacco jar, can find many uses and above all bring a natural but elegant touch to your interior. It is made up of planks of different species, light and darker, which alternate around its perimeter. The lid also has two different species, hence the beautiful veining on the handle. It's a beautiful piece of craftsmanship which must have required rigorous design since certain parts were made by woodturning (i've been doing woodturning for a year and a half, so this box raises a lot of questions for me...how assemble the plates into a dodecagon, then turn only certain parts...i'm going to talk to my trainer about it, he will be able to explain it to me!). Difficult to date it, perhaps from the 60s or 70s but without certainty. It is in good structural condition, still very solid, but does not hide signs of its age and use: small marks and scratches throughout and a musty smell (as if it had contained old fabric), while waiting for the sale I will place a cloth soaked in essential oil there.
