7/20 Litre glass

Glass used in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century to serve berliner weisse beer with or without schuss (comparable to the panache). The berliner weisse is a beer with a low alcohol content, around 3% or 4%. If the customer ordered a berliner weisse mit schuss, the preparation was to pour the beer first up to the thick line. Then a syrup (red fruit or waldmeister green color) was added to the small line under the inscription "7/20 l". A very popular and refreshing drink consumed especially in biergarten. 7/20 litre - 350 ml. Old glass with a slight trace on the edge of the glass. Approximate dimensions: height 19 cm. Width 9.5 cm. Depth 9.5 cm.
