This stool was designed by gustav hassenpflug and manufactured by embru in switzerland. Hassenpflug was one of a group of pioneers. In the late 1920s he developed several designs for chairs. This model consists of a chrome-plated tubular steel construction, with the round shaped hardwood seat. 1930-1939 classic modernism another strategy for coping with the crisis, with which embru once again demonstrated pioneering spirit, was the collaboration with architects of the "new building". A cooperation that, to put it in a nutshell, was not a great success economically, but with which embru wrote one of the most important chapters in swiss design history. From 1930, a diverse range of type furniture was created. It ranged from cantilever chairs in various designs, to tables, to swiss style icons such as alfred altherrs landibank or werner max moser's armchair, and up to the 2072 couch, better known as the le corbusier couch. Today some of these models are produced by embru again. The new ideas were also reflected in school furniture, in whose construction the bauhaus graduate and breuer employee gustav hassenpflug was instrumental. In 1934, embru revolutionized school furniture by separating the school desk and school desk, which had previously been firmly connected to each other, and by adjusting the height of the two parts.
