Wardrobe with pear and lemon compass legs

I am delighted to offer you this very beautiful cabinet from the 50s which has many specific features making it a rare piece: - scandinavian style compass feet - doors decorated with diamonds - a structure in pear wood, a noble wood prized by cabinetmakers - a net inlaid with lemon tree essence all around the facade, a rare species because the tree is small, often used in marquetry on high-end furniture. In an adult's bedroom, a child's bedroom, or in the living room, with its 4 floors and its large storage capacity, it will be useful in all rooms. In order to give it a second life several steps were carried out: - cleaning - the doors were dismantled in order to be able to sand every corner - cabinet completely sanded (including the diamonds and shelves) to remove the layer of yellow varnish which covered it - application of a coat of prim'iso from camaëlle so that the paint sticks well to the contour of the doors, the diamonds, the cornice and the feet - application of two coats of color'mat céladon paint also from camaëlle. - a layer of ultra'mat varnish on the painted parts, therefore washable, and very resistant to abrasion and humidity - on the raw wood parts, a wax has been applied in order to obtain a soft-touch wood texture - replacement of the door closing system with a ball system. - application of new blue ceramic handles.
