“Forme Libre” desk by Georges Frydman for EFA Circa 1950 Original top in oak veneer. Tubular base in black lacquered metal. 2 boxes with brass handles. Like the designer, the piece is modernist, functionalist and inspired by Bauhaus. Georges Frydman was born in France in 1924. He devoted himself to interior furnishings after meeting Le Corbusier. In 1954, he founded Functional Housing Equipment which would become the EFA company. The prestigious René Gabriel design prize was awarded to him in 1966.
