Xylophone balafon African musical instrument

Wonderful african instrument made of wood, bamboo, gourds and strings, this balafon produces absolutely incredible sounds! Clear, limpid, soft! And this despite its condition, with slats that come off, knots to redo, maybe missing gourds (but not sure, in any case the previous owner did not mention it to me and the sounds look good that way) and a good dose of dust. I left it in the state in which I hunted it, not even dusted, because it deserves a real restoration by a connoisseur or even a professional, I dare not touch it myself. It has two "mallets" for tapping on the pieces of wood and is equipped with a shoulder strap (to move it. To wear it when playing?). It is also a very beautiful object of curiosity, very decorative, provided you have a space large enough to expose it. It must date from the 50s, it is not a version for tourists, it is an authentic instrument brought back by someone who has long lived in africa. It measures 111 cm in length, 47 cm in width max, 22 cm in thickness max. And weighs in the 10 kg (difficult to weigh).
