Description
Set of teapot and coffee / tea vintage in white porcelain of limoges decorated with a gold rim, as well as golden handles. Stamped: "robert haviland – le tanneur – limoges" Limoges porcelain is one of the two main porcelain productions of france, and the only one from a real production territory, located around the city of limoges in the hautes – viennes. It was in 1768 that exploitable deposits of kaolin were found, an essential material for the production of this ceramic, and it was from this discovery that limoges porcelain was born and developed. Robert haviland is the grandson of the famous charles field haviland. He founded his porcelain factory in limoges in 1924 and joined forces with pierre le tanneur (his brother-in-law) in 1926. In 1941, he bought charles field haviland and signed all his production with this name. Thus, all the pieces signed robert haviland and the tanner were produced between 1926 and 1941. This small part of refined service will be perfect to enjoy your black coffee, hazelnut coffee or even a mint tea, in style. (sugar) la 20 X h 14 cm (teapot) la 26 X h 21 cm. Bc 2023-149.
