1950s Side chair by Cordemeijer for Gispen, Netherlands

A wonderful dining / side chair, model 116, designed by cordemeijer and manufactured by gispen in the netherlands around 1950. This lovely piece features a black lacquered metal base with a brown plywooden seat and back. It has a minimalist, modern style that is typical for dutch design and gives it a really nice style. The rounded finish to the seat and back are a nice touch and the curved shape provides extra seating comfort as well. It will seamlessly fit in many kind of decors! The chair remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
